Take position as comfort as possible but not asleep. Crossing legs is meditation position for most people. Lying down is also good position but don't forget not to asleep. Perfect combination between comfort position but not asleep is the best meditation position.
3) Allow the Tension to go
Feel which parts of your body tensed. It is good to learn to tense parts of your body up and then release the tension. You will feel relax when all tension drained from your body. Repeat the process untill you learn how to relax.
4) Take Properly Breath
Taking properly breath with nose. By using nose, the air can go easily to your lung. You may feel the chest expand when you take breath through nose.
5) Pay attention
Other thought may disturb mind concentration, but try to concentrate to your breath. By realizing this facts you will be reminded always when things disturb your mind to concentrate.
The meditation is good to be performed at least five minutes. Together with practising everyday, you will find your need to practising more time. The longer you meditate, the greater you realize that meditation could help you to focus your mind. Better brain performing could be resulted by better feeling.
